Ice Fishing

Our journey begins at the charming reindeer farm, where we feed the gentle animals and learn about the life of reindeer. Afterward, we head to the nearby private pond, starting our ice fishing adventure after a 1.5 km hike through the snowy winter landscape. Upon reaching the pond, we drill holes in the ice and are enchanted by the serene, icy silence of nature. We take a well-deserved break by the open fire, enjoying a hearty picnic with hot coffee or tea and delicious snacks. During this time, we listen to fascinating stories about fishing, the life of reindeer, and the huge fish that often elude us. But patience pays off—the pond typically rewards us with a catch that you can proudly take home. The short walk back to the farm will warm you up and give you a chance to enjoy the winter tranquility one last time. We finish with a visit to the historic craft shop in the over 100-year-old reindeer farm building, where traditional craftsmanship and Finnish culture come together. Children (4-12): 40 €/person
